Dan was born in El Centro, CA and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Upon graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management, Dan was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers to play Minor League Baseball. After two seasons in the Dodger organization, Dan was released and began selling produce for his fathers company. Dan is married to Mary Milkie, M.D. and they have three children: James, Christopher and Matthew.
Recently Dan was recognized for his philanthropic efforts in excess of $500,000 to improve the athletic facilities used by the baseball program at his alma mater, Cal Poly Pomona. Phase 1 began in 2015 with the installation of new lighting.
